I’ve been buying handguns since 1982 from dealers in Rockland, Nassau and NYC.

I’m a retired LEO from 2 NYC law enforcement agencies and I’ve owned lots of pistols and revolvers.

In 2025, I stumbled upon Guardian Gunworks in my former hometown of Blauvelt, N.Y.

In my opinion, Guardian Gun Works is the absolute BEST gun dealer that I’ve ever been to!

The owners Erik Melanson and Todd Farmer know the firearms business better than anyone else!!

Erik is a master gunsmith and he recently finished my Ruger GP100 357 Match Champion and my Ruger SP 101, 357, model # 5720 with a black Cerakote finish.

Erik did a superb job with the Cerakote finish on both revolvers.
The guns look better than ever!

He also installed an Ameriglo bright green front sight on my SP101.

I can’t say enough good things about the service and quality workmanship that Guardian Gun Works provided me!

If you’re looking for an expert gunsmith and top notch service, go with Guardian Gun Works, you’ll be glad that you did!!!!!

Great store and every worker is friendly. They all have their own personality and knowledge base. They cover more than all the bases. Always a great time going in.

Todd and Eric are very friendly and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. Prices are fair and they have a great selection.
